LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Discount Heating and Cooling will warranty all repairs on parts that have been installed for a period of 5 (Five) years including labor that have failed under normal operation with a maximum of $500.00 on aged, weathered or damaged equipment past its life span or receive up to a $500.00 credit on a new replacement unit in lieu of repair. (Not applicable to home warranties, Nicor policies, property management and all other assisted type repairs)

Repairs made where parts have not been installed will be covered for 30 (Thirty) days. Any failures due to neglect, lack of maintenance and/or Acts of God will not be covered.

What’s covered: All parts & repairs recommended and completed in whole by Discount Heating and Cooling from original date of repair.

What’s not covered: Diagnostic/Service call fees. Freon and freon leaks not located and repaired. Water leaks not located and repaired. Gas leaks not located and repaired. Emergency parts allocation costs.

Who’s not covered: Home warranty policies, Nicor policies, Property Management and all other assisted type repairs.

Emergency Rates: In the event of an emergency call, the difference between the regular and overtime rate will be charged for the actual in-home repair. Emergency diagnostic rates will apply. 8814 r

Return Trips: Any return trip other than to install ordered parts or to complete incomplete work will incur additional trip costs. Any call where the problem is non-existing or unable to be duplicated will be subject to charges. Any return visit will be subject to charges until problem is duplicated and/or identified.

Deposits: No refunds will be given once parts and/or equipment has been ordered. In house credit may be given. Restocking charges may apply.

Cancellation Policy: Our cancellation policy allows clients to cancel their services with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid any cancellation fees. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a fee to cover scheduling and preparation costs. We value flexibility and understand that unexpected situations arise, so please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Homeowners Responsibility

The equipment covered must be serviced by Discount Heating on an annual basis in order to be covered under this warranty. Air Filters should be inspected/replaced monthly.

Customer MUST retain the original or copy of the invoice to show service technician for warranty coverage. Once work is completed, no refunds or adjustments will be made.

This work order serves as your Parts and Labor Warranty and is non-transferable. You must present this work order to the technician if a return trip is required. I/We, THE UNDERSIGNED, HEREBY AUTHORIZE THE WORK DESCRIBED ON THIS WORK ORDER AS WELL AS WAIVE MY 3 (three) DAY RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS TRANSACTION (which is expressly incorporated herein) AND SUMMARIZED ABOVE. I/WE HAVE READ THIS CONTRACT/WORK ORDER, WHICH INCLUDES THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS CONTAINED HEREIN. I/WE recognize the aged and deteriorated equipment may no longer be serviceable, and I/We agree to hold Discount Heating Cooling and Ref. Inc. harmless and blameless for any damage or destruction to those items as a result of these conventional repair efforts. I/We recognize that there may be other service providers willing to perform this work for a lower price than Discount Heating Cooling and, I/We agree to perform the obligations set forth in the applicable card holder agreement with the credit card user. In addition to the sums stated herein, the undersigned shall pay to Discount Heating Cooling and Ref. Inc. all costs and expenses, collection expenses, including but not limited to in-house collection expenses, court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees incurred by Discount Heating Cooling and Ref. Inc. in seeking to enforce any of the liabilities or obligations of the undersigned under this agreement. A SERVICE CHARGE OF 1-1/2% PER MONTH (18% PER ANNUM) WILL BE CHARGED ON ALL BALANCES 30 DAYS OR MORE PAST DUE. It is agreed that the seller will retain title to any equipment or material that may be furnished until final payment is made, and if settlement is not made as agreed, the seller shall have the right to remove same and the seller will be held harmless for any damage resulting from the removal thereof.
